For the study, the researchers chose 40 female volunteers aged from 20 to 40 years. 50% of them use no more than 30 ml of coconut oil for more than 12 weeks, and the other 50% received the same amount of soybean oil. One of the experimental conditions was the requirement to adhere to a balanced, low-calorie diet and walking 50 minutes a day for exercise.
Results after 12 weeks showed that the levels in the body of carbohydrates and calories for all declined. The level of protein and fat has remained virtually unchanged. It should also be noted decreased body mass index in both groups. But other than that for those women who consumed coconut oil also decreased waist circumference. In addition, at the end of the experiment, subjects who received coconut oil, increased mineral content of HDL and LDL ratio: LCS.
